Meetings are held on the Second and Fourth Tuesday of each month - NEW MEMBERS WELCOME! (This Group is for those who did Latin at school - unfortunately it is NOT suitable for complete beginners)
We are remembering our Latin lessons from school, but this is much more fun.
We are learning from the Cambridge Latin Course, presently Book III but are hopefully making good progress. The books are based on Roman life both in Italy and Britain and we therefore learn Roman history at the same time as their language. We are also using the website that complements this book.
We read little Latin stories but nothing more difficult than those used for GCSE preparation.
The Study Group leader moves us along at quite a pace, but we are all enjoying the class and doing our homework.
If you would like to join us, or if you are interested in joining a Latin for Beginners Group, please contact Sigrun, the Group Leader, using the link above.
