Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month

We are happy to welcome new members to the Antiques group.  We have been running successfully for 16 years and now have space for even more Bushey u3a members who would like to join us.

We meet on the second Tuesday of the month from 1.30-3.30 at Asda at The Dome. We show objects that we have collected or been given, not necessarily antiques, and show any hobbies that we do, e.g. painting, artwork, etc. We have tea/coffee and cake halfway through the meeting. We would love you to join us.

In the past, members have brought many interesting items to be passed round. We had the delight of seeing a Brownie Box Camera. Many of us said, “That was my first camera.” Members have also brought along the following : a collection of Tunbridge Ware, beautifully illustrated books that had been awarded at end-of-school year awards back in the early 1900s, a wine glass that had been shipwrecked and was found after 100 years of being in the sea water, the list goes on and on. The success of the group does depend on people bringing along their antiques, curios, or collectables.
