Overnight Oats

Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 1 servings

  • ⅓ cup milk (125ml)
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt (60ml)
  • ¼ cup rolled oats (25g)
  • 2 teaspoons honey (10ml)
  • 2 teaspoons chia seeds (10ml))
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon or more to taste (1.25ml)
  • ¼ cup fresh blueberries (1.25ml)

Directions

  1. Gather all ingredients.
  2. Combine milk, yogurt, oats, honey, chia seeds, and cinnamon in a 1/2-pint jar with a lid; cover and shake until combined.
  3. Fold in blueberries, or any other dried fruit.
  4. Cover and refrigerate, 8 hours to overnight. (Can store for up to 7 days)Enjoy!

Variations

  • Add some vanilla extract with the milk or non-dairy milk.
  • Stir in some nut butter like almond butter, peanut butter, etc.
  • For more fiber stir in some ground flax with the oats.
  • Top them with sunflower seeds, walnuts, pecans, hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, etc.
  • To make them gluten-free make sure the old fashion oats are certified gluten-free oats.
  • Add 5some dried fruits like raisins or dried cranberries.
  • Make chocolate oats by adding cocoa powder and top them with chocolate chips or chocolate shavings.
  • Add whatever fruit is in season – peaches, strawberries, blueberries, mango, etc
