Membership

Dear Prospective Member,

The University of the Third Age was established to give older people access to education by providing it for themselves. Membership of u3a is open to retired and semi-retired people. All Bushey u3a activities are provided by our members for our members, and it is financially self-supporting.

We particularly welcome new members who can bring interest, skills and experience to the many groups we run. Please note that our u3a is a charity entirely dependent on all of our members taking part and contributing to its running. If you are thinking of applying we hope you will consider how you can actively participate, for example by joining or even leading an interest group or sitting on our Committee.

Please note:

  • As all u3a communications are sent electronically, we can only accept membership applications via your email address
  • The annual subscription is £20 a year, payable by secure GoCardless direct debit (details of GoCardless will be sent to you, once your forms have been returned and your membership acceptance confirmed)
  • If you are a UK taxpayer, we hope you will Gift Aid your subscription, and thank you for doing so

PLEASE Complete the Membership Application Form and Gift Aid form (if applicable)

  • Fill in the forms personal.
  • Pay particular attention to the “privacy statement” tick box.
  • Ensure that you complete the form correct.
  • Typed signatures are acceptable.
  • Complete the form on line, or print, complete, scan and return by email to ggurner@aol.com.
  • It is important that you have Internet access; all communication/newsletters are via email.
  • If you are unable to scan or photo your forms and attach them to an email, then please let me know and I will give you my address for posting them.
